Happy New Year! To start off 2017, we want to wish each of you a happy new year and thank you for being a monthly life-saving Mutt Guardian! You give us a steady source of monthly income with which to rescue senior dogs from euthanasia and find them their forever happy home. Even during our recent transition to a new credit card processing system - with all the trials and tribulation that change brings! - you were patient and understanding. And we - and all of the pups - are extremely grateful!

And because you are so awesome, we're celebrating you all February long! An invitation to our annual Mutt Guardian party, scheduled for February, will be going out to you shortly and all month long we'll be highlighting the importance of our Mutt Guardian family in our newsletters, in social media and at our adoption events. You are our bread and butter and we love you and can’t thank you enough! Here's the difference you made in saving Christy from desertion during the holidays; a story of hope that could not have happened without you.
MEET OUR CHRISTMAS MIRACLE - CHRISTY!
This adorable girl was found as a stray on Christmas Eve. Starved and neglected, we knew right away we had to help this sweet girl! Because of your support we were able to give her a full physical, and treat a severe infection in her swollen and painful paws. We also noticed a problem with her beautiful, pleading eyes: she was not producing tears and she had terrible cataracts. Our medical team eased her discomfort with eye drops and now she's feeling much better. Although she was also diagnosed with a cognitive disorder and bad kidneys, nothing gets this little girl down now that she's found safety and love here. She spends most of her days lounging in cozy beds and exploring her new, temporary home, making new friends and telling everyone how grateful she is - her tail just never stops wagging!

Watch Christy in this heartwarming video!

But we've saved the best news for last! Over the holidays, Christy was adopted! When she met her new mom and dad, it was love at first sight, her tail was thumping, and her smile spread from ear to ear. And without you - without your continued loving support - none of this would have been possible. Thank you so much from Christy and her new family - a picture of happiness to start another life-saving year. Here she is with her new family!
